The ISO9141 standard allows multiple Control Units to be connected to single K-line. Almost all Japanese car manufacturers use this feature and connect several Control Units to single K-line located on pin No. 7 in the J1962 (OBD2) connector. But most Korean automakers connect different Control Units to separate K-lines. However, you can combine individual K-lines into one without violating the ISO9141 standard.
