By default K+CAN Commander 1.4 and ELM327 adapters use pin #7 in the OBD-II Diagnostic Link Connector to communicate with Engine Control Unit via K-line. This is default pin for K-line interface, as described in SAE J1962. Assignment of contacts 1,3,8,9,11,12 and 13 in the vehicle connector is left to the discretion of the vehicle manufacturer. Diagnostic interfaces of other Control Units may be connected to these contacts, such as Transmission Control Unit, ABS/ESP Unit, Climate Control Unit and so on.

In most Japanese and European vehicles, pin #7 is used by default for diagnostics via K-line, so no any additional equipment needed. But Korean automakers connect different Control Units to different pins in the OBD2 connector. In this case, you may need a DIY K-line switch, an OBD2 breakout box, or you can make a simple modification to your adapter as shown in this video:
